Halogen Patio Heater Print E-mail
Thursday, 22 March 2007

When you are in the market for a patio heater, it can be a smart idea to look at the Halogen type of heaters.  When you use a halogen patio heater, you are using one of the most energy-efficient and reliable heaters on the market.

Halogen heaters are widely used in places where spot heating is required, such as in large drafty warehouses or open animal pens.  This is because when a halogen heater is used, it can direct heat more efficiently, thus overcoming the fact that an area is not enclosed.  When you use the correct halogen patio heater for the size of your patio, anyone in the area of your patio will feel quite comfortable no matter what the temperature is outside.

A halogen patio heater is also very energy efficient.  When you use a regular electric heater or even a gas heater, a large percentage of the heat is lost to the surrounding area, making it necessary to turn the heater up higher or run it for a longer period of time.  With halogen heat, the heat is very concentrated, and radiated in a much more efficient form.  The heater simply does not have to work as hard to produce the desired effect.

Because the heat from a halogen heater is so directed, however, you need to make sure that you get the right size heater for your patio, and put it in the right location for maximum efficiency.  Make sure that the heat from your halogen patio heater will be directed to the area where people will be sitting or standing most often.
